Most people’s reservations about learning to kitesurf – sharks; being dragged out to sea; being left drifting in the ocean not being able to relaunch your kite; salt water filled eyes and nose; or hitting land at high speed become completely irrelevant here.

Not only is it where George Clooney has a holiday home, but there are no sharks, the lake is freshwater, a boat is on hand at all times to help you out/relaunch your kite/give you tips, and all launching is done from the boat in the middle of the lake, so the land is all around you for safety’s sake, but not close enough to hurt yourself on. PERFECT.

And thrown into this, Lake Como is only an hour and a half flight away, flights are cheap as chips, as are the hotels out there AND it is beyond beautiful.

The kitesurf school is run by a great bunch of English guys who are really lovely, and we can organise all your accommodation too. Or you can simply book yourself from this accommodation list  we have put together.

As we mentioned, it’s not much more expensive than kite surfing in the UK and you have the added bonus of:

Transfers from Airport:
We suggest hiring a car is the cheapest and easiest way of getting about. There is a fantastic motorway that goes up the whole East coast of Lake Como that makes it quick and easy to get to the kitesurfing school
